Overview

This section contains instruction to manage users and permissions. AtlantixEM uses a simplified permissions set to help Site Administrators in assigning privileges to users.

The AtlantixEM permissions set uses 3 different role:

  • Full permissions: this role if for users that require full administrative permissions on all components
  • Power user: this role has full permissions on all features. Power users cannot change backend configuration on a Site Controller. Changing backend configuration must be done only by SME.
  • Read only: this role can access all information in view only mode. Read only users cannot access System Configuration panel on AtlantixEM dashboard.

Manage Users

The Manage Users window can be used to perform the following tasks:

  1. Add and Remove a user
  2. Change user role
  3. Change/Reset user password

To manage users, access to AtlantixEM dashboard with an account that have Full permissions and click Manage users in the System Configuration panel.

Add and remove users

To add a new user perform the following tasks:

  1. In the Manage users window, click Add button
  2. You will be prompted to specify the new username
  3. Once done, select the new user to specify a role and to reset password

To remove an existing user perform the following tasks:

  1. In the Manage users window, select the user you want to remove
  2. Click on Remove button and accept the prompt window

Change user role and password

To change/assign a role perform the following tasks:

  1. Select the user
  2. Select one of the available roles
  3. [optional] click Set password to change or set a new password
